Frequently asked questions

How does matching work?

BeatBuds pairs you with another listener. You each pick a song from a shuffled shortlist of your whitelisted sources, both hear a short preview, react with emoji, and can save the song. Then you can rematch or move on.

How do I choose which playlists are used?

Go to Settings → Song sources and toggle the playlists or liked songs you want BeatBuds to recommend from. Only sources you enable are ever used.

How do I report or block someone?

During a round, tap the flag icon to report and block your current partner. We review reports and act on violations of our Terms of Use, which have zero tolerance for abusive behavior.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Premium is billed through your app store. Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or Google Play (Play Store → Subscriptions) account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

How do I restore a purchase?

On the Premium screen, tap Restore purchases while signed in to the same app-store account you bought with.

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, matches, and history. You can also email us to request deletion.

Why don't I see ads / why do I see ads?

Free accounts are ad-supported. Premium removes all ads.
